Three days before the storm hits northern Rakhine State
Storm warning A cat3 storm with destructive force may occur in the central region between May 10 and 12, 2023.
On May 13th, it arrived near the Rakhine coast west of Sittwe, and could reach the Cat 4 level, and could enter inland from northern Rakhine State and Chittagong Cox’s Bazaar in Bangladesh.
There is a risk of storms along the Mayu River in Sittwe, Rakhine State, North Rakhine State, Sittwe, Rathye Mountain, Phanda Gyun Kyauktao, Buthidaung, Moungtaw, and Mayu River.
